About TU Oregon Council

The Oregon Council of Trout Unlimited is part of the national group, Trout Unlimited . The OCTU meets two times annually, and acts as a gathering point for fisheries interests common to all of the Oregon Chapters of Trout Unlimited.

TU has grown to 5 active chapters in the state. The most recent addition was to reinstate the previously inactive Central Oregon Chapter in the Bend/Redmond area. This addition will help reinforce our work with the Deschutes Basin Land Trust in the Metolius watershed. Other active chapters in Oregon include two in the Portland area, one in Eugene and the Middle Rogue chapter in Grants Pass.

We work as an entity to present a common front and to build consensus among chapters. We act to represent all of the cold water fisheries of the state of Oregon, from coastal streams with winter run Steelhead to the High Desert country of Eastern Oregon with Lahontan cutthroat trout.
